These terms and conditions apply to current and future orders made to Truepot Distribution unless superseded by any updates.
Eligibility & Minimum Order Requirements
We have no formal requirements for becoming a client provided it is clear that the client has the intention of reselling statues rather than using them for personal use.
We prefer working with clients with an existing business, or who have a clear and comprehensive marketing plan. We reserve the right to refuse client pricing to anybody or any company for any reason.
Minimum Order Quantities are as follows:
- Sculptire & Art From Steel Statues: $3,000
- Scrap Metal Statues: $1,000
To prevent clients registering as client to get a discount we do not allow clients to place first orders for a single large statue. Instead we may bill them at retail rates but will credit the difference back if the client places a second larger order within 3 months.
Geographical exclusivity shall be determined on a case-by-case basis.
We are happy to discuss model exclusivity for existing clients. This will typically require a minimum order quantity and usually a surcharge to cover our design costs.
Pricing Restrictions & Competitive Considerations
We require that you treat our retail prices as Manufacturers Recommended Sales Prices (MRSP) for any marketing made online. You are welcome to set your prices higher and we encourage this for clients outside the USA to offset against your shipping costs.
You may sell at any price you desire offline.
If you wish to reduce prices below MRSP for any short-term promotions we require you request this in advance and obtain our permission. It is unlikely to be a problem.
We prefer not to sell directly to retail clients but may do so at our discretion. Typical situations where we might sell direct to a customer are when the customer has no local client nearby, when they may wish to collect their order from our workshop or fulfillment center or when it is most efficient to ship directly to the customer. We may also offer our surplus stock to the public on occasions.
We do not permit clients to claim or imply that they manufacture our products but you are not obliged to list Truepot Distribution nor the workshops we partner with as the manufacturer.
Clients must add the following disclaimers to their marketing and sales materials:
- All statues are hand-made from available materials and may differ slightly from the catalog images.
- No statues are officially licensed and should be marketed as replicas, statues inspired by … etc.
Marketing Materials & Support
We will gladly work with you to create marketing materials for your needs including;
- Photographs & Videos
- Advertising creatives (assorted banners etc.)
- Product Photos and specifications
We are happy to provide high-quality product images for the purpose of creating catalogs and advertisements. If you wish to use these online then they must be watermarked to prevent our images being used by competitors. This watermark can be your logo rather than ours.
We will also link to your website from ours provided that you still hold stock.

This includes transportation, packing and fumigation costs but does not include sea freight costs nor costs incurred after your shipment has left port. We are happy to ship your order to your nearest port or to-door using a Thai shipping agent however our responsibility ends once your order is collected from our packaging facility. If you wish for a Thai shipping agent to handle shipping for you then you must pay all costs upfront before your order is collected from packaging. You are welcome to arrange your own shipping and we can provide the address of where to collect your order from.
Returns and Refunds
Unless goods are fundamentally different to expectations then we do not offer refunds. Should any items arrive damaged as a result of shipping then it is your responsibility to notify us within 7 days of collection.
We will credit you in full or part for any small items that are damaged although we may require that you forward the item to a repair company. We do not foresee any problems with larger statues however we will compensate towards repair if required.
We ask for photographs of any damaged items, this is not an issue of proving the items are damaged but to help our artists modify the designs to minimize this reoccurring.
When you order, we provide estimates of production time. We reserve the right to delay work if we believe it important to maintain the quality of your order and when we have had delays communicating with you.
Production-time is dependent on simultaneous orders by other clients and therefore may vary each order.
Workshops, fulfillment center, postal services and support staff are usually unavailable during the national they are located in.
Discontinued / Unavailable Products
Due to manufacturing or other considerations beyond our control, items may be discontinued or temporarily unavailable. Please accept our apologies if merchandise which you have selected is unavailable because of this.
Our overseas factories are occasionally subject to delays beyond our control. Although we make every effort to ship quickly and completely we draw your attention to our backorder procedures: backorders on new items are not canceled regardless of age or value; backorders on established items which are either five months old or less than $50 cost are canceled. You may specify any other alternate instructions regarding cancellation of orders or backorders as you wish.
Homogeneity of Products
Our catalog photos reflect our portfolio of past creations. It is impossible to duplicate them exactly because some parts may not be obtainable. Unless otherwise specified, we assume that all orders are to be created in approximately the same way as in our catalog photograph.
Typically any statue over 5ft / 1.5 meters will be between 80% and 95% identical to the portfolio model.
We make every effort to provide accurate lead-times and cost estimates however we cannot be held responsible for delays or price changes beyond our control. This includes but is not limited to; natural disasters, changes in price for shipping or packaging or employee sickness.
For statues taking 3 or more weeks to produce we provide photo updates on request to share the workshop’s progress.
The client must understand that often these updates may not be a close representation of a final product.
Many products are not cleaned nor polished until completion and may look different when photographed in a busy workshop with poor lighting than when it is completed and photographed professionally.
Modification of Orders
It is possible to add but not remove or change orders after your deposit has been paid. Any modifications required need to be detailed in advance.
Should you require any unplanned changes after work begins we reserve the right to ask for additional payments to cover this.
If you require addition items within your order this may delay overall production.
We are happy to work with you or with your customers to create custom creations of any size.
Products under 6ft / 2meters may require a minimum order requirement or additional fee to cover design work if we are unlikely to be able to resell these to other clients.
We work with you in English at all times. It is our responsibility to ensure that your requirements are communicated to our manufacturers. We have a number of translators available when necessary.
It is often difficult to communicate specifications of products without resorting to metaphors or imprecise descriptions. We encourage clients to demonstrate their needs, using photographs, sketches or computer designs and it is your responsibility to ensure that you give us as detailed a specification as you can. We are happy to take initiatives with our work but in doing this we cannot be responsible if our design is not how you expected.
We provide clients with a specification sheets for any product that they believe needs precise guidance on. It asks the client to specify exact attributes that they consider essential, important or desirable.
Where customizations are required, it is our job to work with you, to collect images, create sketches etc. to ensure that the client and Truepot Distribution understand clearly what is required BEFORE the documents are translated and send to the workshop.
It can sometimes take a lot of time to work one-on-one with a client to ensure that we have created a comprehensive design specification sheet. Whilst every client is entitled to an hour of our time, we charge an additional $50 per hour for any further pre-production work, including telephone costs.
Due to the properties of our raw material it might not be possible to address every request. We commit to informing you of this before production begins and you will have the opportunity of canceling the order of the model if you consider this important. In very rare circumstances an issue may present itself during the work and whilst we reserve the right to find alternatives we cannot take responsibility for unforeseen problems.
Once production begins, we reserve the right to make modifications if we believe it improves safety, balance or strength.
Whilst every effort is made to provide updates and to reply to clients queries, there are many reasons why communications may be delayed. These include, time taken to translate to or from English where needed, the inconsistency of Thai telecom and internet services and – especially important – the differing time zones between clients and ourselves. We have limited telephone or internet access from our workshops so most communications are done from Bangkok.
Likewise there are occasions where we cannot continue work without receiving feedback from you. We ask that you respond to us within 2 days where possible should we have any questions.
Most communication will be via email so that we can reply when convenient, can include photographs and have a record of all details. If you do not have daily access to email please inform us in advance.
We ask that all clients provide us with an out-of-office contact number in the event of urgent questions. Whilst we do not anticipate the need to contact you, having your contact information is a practical precautionary measure.
A member of staff regularly visits the Art From Steel main workshop. We take photos, videos and make note of any completed items held in stock that you might appreciate (discounts are usually offered).
We do not tend to visit the smaller workshops which deal with the smaller products but we try to inspect these at packing. Smaller products contain more generic parts and rarely deviate from the catalog images so it is less necessary to inspect these compared to larger statues.
